Philadelphia Chapter
On behalf of the Officers and the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the Philadelphia Tri County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals. Since the inception of this organization as the Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants in 1946, it has offered continuing education, resources for information, legislative advocacy, and networking opportunities for tax and accounting professionals.
The Philadelphia Tri County Chapter conducts monthly meetings and education programs at the Springfield Country Club. Our Officers and Board of Directors meet regularly to schedule seminars and discuss ways to continuously improve our organization and increase membership. Our Chapter offers more that 60 CPE credits per year.
Many thanks to all of the Officers and Directors of our chapter for their continued dedication and commitment in providing quality education to our members and enduring the tradition and prosperity of our organization.
We are always looking for new members to become involved at the Chapter level.
Chapter Profile
The Philadelphia Tri County Chapter is the oldest chapter in our society with members consisting of Certified Public Accountants, Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, Accountants and Tax Practitioners from the Philadelphia and surrounding area. Our meetings are held monthly at the Springfield Country Club located on Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Springfield, PA. In addition to the monthly educational programs, the Philadelphia Tri County Chapter in conjunction with Gear Up sponsors several full day seminars in Accounting, Business Entities, and Form 1040. Our affordable monthly meetings and seminars provide an excellent opportunity to fulfill yearly CPE requirements and are focused specifically toward the needs of the sole practitioner and smaller sized accounting firms who represent business and individual taxpayers. During these events, members have the opportunity to network with their colleagues on related tax and professional issues.
Members receive substantial discounts on quality CPE. The savings realized from seminar and meeting discounts more than pays for the cost of the membership dues.
Members also receive many more substantial benefits such as the ListServ (the PSTAP email discussion group), the Pennsylvania Accountant magazine, and other affinity programs and discounts.
Please check the PSTAP Website (www.pstap.org) regularly for future meeting and event dates, seminar programs and CPE program opportunities.
