The Cap May Whale & Dolphin Watching Cruise Tour

After the morning meeting, we will all make our own way to meet at Miss Chris Marina for our Cape May Whale & Dolphin Watching Cruise boat tour's boarding & departure time.  A light dockside lunch will be provided for our group on the boat by PSTAP.  Miss Chris Marina (and parking lot) is located at the entrance to Cape May and is only about a 5 minute drive from The Grand Hotel.

About Miss Chris Marina

Our group's Whale & Dolphin Watching Cruise is a 3-hour boat tour aboard the locally esteemed Cape May Whale Watcher.  What to expect on our tour:

  • Captain Jeff and his seasoned crew will take us aboard their large boat, the Cape May Whale Watcher, and into Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The Delaware Bay Estuary is a sanctuary for many species of Marine Life. The unique confluence of fresh and saltwater make for a nutrient rich area teeming with life and conducive to whale and dolphin activity.
  • Unlike other areas where the whales are a great distance from shore, Cape May (New Jersey) is uniquely situated offshore- much like Cape Cod- offering many of our sightings from within Delaware Bay and/or within ten miles of land. Marine Biologists, naturalists, and whale lovers alike, all especially enjoy sightings in areas like Cape May because the boat ride time is much less (shorter) than average. This allows for an awesome offshore experience for everyone- something exciting to do with the whole family, as well as the seasoned adventurers and seafarers! The excursion is fully narrated by your Captain, who will point out local history along with the many types of marine life.

Monday Evening Fun:

For dinner & entertainment Monday evening, we'll all head to local gem, Carney's Cape May- "A landmark restaurant nestled along the Cape May beachfront".  Where we'll enjoy cocktails & drinks alongside our delicious & fresh buffet style dinner.  After dinner, with our dessert, we will be putting on our "game faces" in order to compete in a lively (and friendly) Trivia Game Night (also provided by Carney's own Trivia Host).  A few lucky winners will even walk away with a prize gift or two!!

Carney's Restaurant

Tuesday, June 11th

Experience some leisure time on Tuesday- an afternoon of free time for you to relax and/or explore all of what the beautiful Cape May seaside has to offer.  Make sure you head to the popular Washington Street Mall for a wonderful array- over 75 establishments- of store shops, boutiques, restaurants & bars, activities and more within walking distance of each other.  The Mall is located along a three block area of Washington Street (including portions of the surrounding connecting streets)- all of which is closed off to vehicular traffic.  It is also within a very short drive or even walking distance from our hotel!  "The Mall serves as Cape May's town square, and features numerous benches, luscious gardens, shady trees, historical markers, gas lamps, bistro-style string lights, and more..."

On Tuesday night, following (and throughout) the main event- our Installation Dinner, we will all get to listen and even dance to music provided by locally renowned artist & pianist, James Bannach- (from his website):

"The Singer and Pianist performs a diverse repertoire of music from Standards, Show tunes, Classic Rock, Motown and Country (pleasing audiences for more than 40 years)!"
